Rep is not the best way to judge how well known you are on the forums. take one of the staff members for example, they can make a announcement and get like tons of ratings, only for 1 post.

But they're staff members, if a staff member vouches for anyone you know they're reliable.

No, but still saying reputations is not a good way to judge stuff like this not depended if there staff or not.
