Hello!.

In this suggestion, I'll be talking about the ''servers'' Category in our Forums.
I feel like it lacks being organized, I have seen some servers being sold by new members and sometimes donators, which they don't provide any proof or don't provide the following things:
  • Server Ownership Proof.
  • Logo if there is any.
  • Plugins & Ownership of them
  • Builds etc
  • Buycraft Donation Proof.
  • Playerbase Proof.
I feel like if a template is added it will reduce the amount of threads that are made without these things and above all, it will make everything more efficient and fast to sell servers, I think this could also reduce potential players that are trying to scam.

That's a good idea, as half of the posts are lacking enough information to even qualify in my opinion.

But that's the thing. When they lack details so will the offers they get.[DOUBLEPOST=1499154974][/DOUBLEPOST]
It's on them. Not the buyers.
That is to some extent true, however it does affect buyers aswell.
A buyer may loose a potentially good deal for themselves, but due to bad information/poor layout they usually get overlooked.

As someone who has been a big user of the Servers section for years, I strongly agree with a template for it.

Edit: not only that, but it will also stop the kids who casually advertise their server in that forum, as they realise that their actually filling out a sale for their server and not just freely write whatever

I would agree with a template, but not a layout-template. More like spigot's service template, where certain pieces of information MUST be included or the post will be removed. That way you can still easily make your own layout, but it solves the problem.

Ehhhh I disagree this is really not that needed. All you need to do to sell a server is a good pitch

As much details as possible like profit and playerbase pie charts and graphs and seeing reasons why you need to sell etc.

When I sold my first server on here it was successfully this is garbage we don't need this.
Well you are kinda the only one i have seen so far that disagrees with this, I wasn't actually expecting someone to disagree.
Like there is so many servers that are being sold in here, and they are lacking a lot of information plus some new members don't know what exactly to add when they are selling servers.

this could help them know what exactly they need to provide, it will make everything more organized and not a waste of time, cause if you havent check most of these threads that lacks tons of stuff, you will find some comments such as ''proof'' ''builds'' ''proof of ownership?'' etc, it kind of affects both the buyers and the seller, cause you are the one who needs the proof and they are the ones who need to provide the proof.

You sold your server but what about the other people that are selling servers? you are not the only one trying to sell a server..[DOUBLEPOST=1499200310][/DOUBLEPOST]Instead of a template that needs to be completed, At least they should provide, Proof of Ownership and probably a ''thing you could add'' tip that its not needed to complete and its just optional.

I know a couple server owners don't like releasing all that information at once, they discuss it privately with potential buyers. If a thread doesn't have that much information, it doesn't hurt to send a quick personal message to the OP if you're interested.

A template for everyone to follow can basically be condensed to a form. Ex: support requests form, scam reports form, etc. However, I don't believe it's desperately needed for that section.

But what you could do is actually make it a form with a few set questions which you usually see time and time again in the comments.
If someone isn't comfortable with sharing some information asked for in the form, they could type: "Ask privatly etc".
And then at the end there would be a big regular text box, to write whatever information. I just think it would be very nice to have some of the most important information at the top of the thread.
Domain:
Graphics/Builds/etc
Playerbase: Non/10avg?
Bidding:Yes/No - if so starting bid: $10?
Buy Price/BIN: $50
Proof of Ownership: (insert proof screenshot)

And here you can freely write whatever about the server you wish.

I think it would be very good for the servers section to have something like this.

It's on them. Not the buyers.
with that logic, why have a format for accounts? I think there should be a format for servers for the same reason we have one for accounts: Displaying the main information needed in a neat and standardized way, allowing browsers to quickly decide if they can/want to buy it.
