Today we have some long-awaited reputation updates and a brand new fundraiser for Make-A-Wish.
Make-A-Wish Fundraiser
Despite our previous fundraiser for SpecialEffect being just over 6 months ago, I am very proud to announce that we are now releasing another fundraiser. This time, we are raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
Make-A-Wish is a charity with a vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with critical illness. They are an absolutely fantastic charity and you can read more about the wishes they provide here and here. All proceeds raised will go directly to Make-A-Wish International, meaning the money will be spent in any country where Make-A-Wish operates.
In the past we have offered name colours and medals for donating, and due to the resounding success of our previous fundraiser, we will be doing the same this year. We have an exclusive username colour voted on by you that is available for only the next 30 days for $25 and an exclusive donation medal which can be purchased with the name colour for $100. Purchases can be made through the Account Upgrades page here.
I am also personally going to match all name colour donations made by users and cover the transaction fees. This means that if 40 people purchase the colour, I will donate $1,000 to the cause.
Below is a list of some of the frequently asked questions that we have had in previous fundraisers:
Can I pay the $25 but change my colour back?
Yep! If pinky-purple isn't your ideal colour then you may swap back to any of the other colours you have purchased in your account preferences!
Can I donate more than $100?
You sure can. If you wish to be super generous and donate even more than $100 USD please create a support request and we'll make sure that all the money you send to us goes directly to the cause.
Can I gift this to a friend for a medal?
Unfortunately, we do not allow you to gift the name colour or medal to anyone, you can only receive it if you donate for yourself.
What happens to this colour after the 30 days is up?
In 30 days, this fundraiser will be over, so this colour will be removed from being purchasable on the site forever. You will still keep this colour and will be able to pick it forever once you have it.

I intend on using the new gradient colour that you receive for $25 for the entire month.

Reputation System Changes
The brand new reputation update is here! We have made some pretty significant changes that will mainly make it easier for moderators to handle false reputation. The changes that have been made to the system are as follows:
- Now a minimum of 70 characters required to leave reputation.
- Massively improved moderation tools and soft-deleting reputation so accurate records are kept.
- Moderators are now required to alert users with a brief explanation when reputation is removed.
- Introduced a semi-automatic dispute process, allowing users to handle reputation disagreements between themselves before escalating the situation to a staff member.
Chearful has also compiled a list of over 12,000 reputation that breaks the MC-Market rules, and over the next few weeks the moderation team will be working to remove all of these invalid reputations. When they are removed, you will receive a private message.
Terms updated
We have updated to the most recent version of XenForo and updated our policies in order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation laws that have come in place today, the 25th of May. Specifically, the changes we have made to MC-Market to ensure we comply with the GDPR are that we have:
- Updated our Privacy Policy to more clearly and specifically state how, when, and why your data will be used and who it will be used by.
- Implemented a feature allowing users to request a copy of personal information held by MC-Market via Support Requests.
- Adjusted the signup process so it is optional whether you would like to receive emails from the site.
- Forced all members to re-accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before using MC-Market so they are aware of these changes.
- Added more details about cookies.
- Anonymised IP addresses in Google Analytics.
Some changes have been made to the warning system to ensure that our rules are as fair and reasonable for everyone. Several warnings have had expiry dates added to them so they won’t last forever, but the largest adjustment we have made is that suspension times have been reduced significantly. Below is a list of the old and new suspension durations:

Other Changes
As well as the changes above, some minor adjustments to the site have been made. Updates are announced on our Twitter as they happen. Changes that have been made are:
- Promoted ZDesigns to chat moderator.
- Promoted BucketOfSloths to moderator.
- Shattered has resigned as a chat moderator.
- Changed colour of Scam Resolvers from dark green to red.
- Removed several thread prefixes in forums.
- Adjusted the wording of rules 6.2.1, 1.12 and 1.1 slightly to be more clear.
- Adjusted wiki permissions to disallow editing and new articles from being created by Supreme users.
- Renamed ‘Steam Items’ forum to ‘Videogame Items’ and added ‘Fortnite’ subforum.
- Added ‘Premade Setups’ forum to the Products category.
- Added a few more splash loading messages thanks to community suggestions from this form.
