Make an "Advertise" Button in chat

This is so i dont have to retype EVERY SINGLE AD i want to do in sb. It would be better to have a button to autopost a message of your choice, and to have a cooldown of 20 mins.

Get notepad or something and just have it on your clipboard. This would be a nice idea for ultimate members, but I'm pretty sure I recall a thread about something like this and Mick said something about how he doesn't want to promote that people should be advertising in the shoutbox or something. (or like he doesn't want to make the shoutbox flood with ads and less chatting, he said this when someone suggested making an auto-ad button for ultimate members)

Shouldn't be that hard to just press 2 buttons, it's not worth the development time either in my opinion, and with MCM moving to XF2 soon, there isn't a lot of that. :shrug:

If people want their thread to be advertised, they need to put in the very low effort of having your ad on your clipboard and pasting it every 20 minutes, it's not that hard.

When you copy something on Windows, it is saved into your clipboard. Use "Windows Key + V" to access all your current session's clipboard. You can pin stuff so it stays there permanently. Save advertisements here and just use the shortcut and click it and it pastes it in for you

I mean guys. Let's to be honest, this kind of idea will take 1 hour on development. I am not a premium or ultimate user, but I think this feature is really helpful. It is just an extra option for users. It does not harm anyone. And about flooding, he already stated that there should be a cooldown (20m). Button to auto post your ad = more people posting their ads in chat = less effective ads for the people that at the moment bothers to do the very easy process of copy and paste it themselves in chat.

Adding this would mean more ads in chat, and the ads already being posted there less effective. -1

This has been suggested a handful of times and rejected each time. As counterintuitive as it sounds, the easier we make it to advertise your products the worse it is for you if you're trying to get clients. Whatever benefit we give to you will also be given to dozens (Ultimate), thousands (Premium), or even hundreds of thousands of users (Everyone) to also use. By having a degree of difficulty involved with advertising your content, it ensures that it is only the high quality content worth the effort of advertising being advertised every 20 minutes.
