This thread includes everything, for some reason the creator of it removed it's content. It has many supporters and some fairly large amount of good arguments. It basically says that the staff team should make an expiration date for warning points so they don't last forever.

My suggestion is to make no warning points permanent, as it will follow you for the rest of your career on the site, for something simple yet ignorant that you did before you knew the rules well enough.

I guess this should be revived.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

1 & 3 is understandable non-expiry. They are that way, because it's serious "crimes." And can ruin the site.

I like how it depends on how serious your offence was, just like in real life. You shop lift, you get 6 months. You murder someone you will get 25 years to life.

Edit: after reading the other thread, I realized how little people commented on warning points should be expired but rather that you get warning points too easily.
1 was when I asked in my TOS that a client has to add a reputation when he receives a vouch copy.
3 is self explanatory.

Non of these things can somehow be considered “serious” and nor any new member is able to know that using “common sense”. These things need to be expired. It happened 3 years ago and I’ve learned my lesson since then.

I’d say a complete re-evaluation of our rules (maybe not so much here), warning system and TOS would be appropriate. They’re outdated and unbalanced as we just keep adding on to them from an old base. A more flexible system where I can dish out warning points appropriately depending on the severity is what I’d like to see.

I’m not in favour of completely removing permanent warning points. But I believe it needs a bit of balancing done in terms of severity and what actually needs to be made permanent and what isn’t.

Things which are obviously wrong to do, you deserve to keep those points forever. Things which are odd mistakes which can be learnt from, I see why you shouldn’t keep them forever.

Hopefully, in the future, we will be making more adjustments to our warning points to make sure that they expire for minor offenses that shouldn't count towards future suspensions.

I'll move this to pending and deny the other bug report one since that one's been destroyed by the author for some reason. (https://www.mc-market.org/threads/422662/page-3)

Thanks for the suggestion
