As most of you probably know, Cow was banned a few days ago for "Advertising Competitor forum, and Skype". Well, I have been talking to him, and what he said happened, was he was going to be making a Stat instagram, and was going to get people to publicize his new account, and in return would be doing a giveaway. But, there was someone who added him, who he had never heard of before on MCM. This users name was "george" So Cow thought that this was someone contacting him from one of the other forums he is on. So Cow told him to join a different forum, however, it turned out that was Mick.

So why shorten it to 30 days? That shouldn't be a ban at all

He created a thread stating that he was going to be giving people a surprise if they added him on Skype. I went on an alt Skype account and added him and straight away he advertised a particular competitor website. If that isn't enough proof of someone attempting to advertise for a competitor forum, I don't know what is. He was advertising a competitor on MC-Market.

I have to agree with Mick. This should be case closed IMO. He probably was never going to really do a giveaway. Even if so, he was doing the giveaway so that he could privately advertise for the other site.

did i not just say that
You did, but you are wrong. He posted it so people would contact him from this site and go to the other site. Therefore, he was advertising the other site, but he was just trying to go around the rule.

but the rule is to not advertise competitor forums on mcm, when he advertised his Skype. He advertised the other forums on his Skype.
There's these things called loop-holes, you should look it up.
Loop holes always exist, but that doesn't mean he can get away with a stupid loophole like that. I would still consider that advertising a competitor through MC-Market as that is what he did by telling people to add him on Skype.

His ban is staying permanent.

Maybe you should update your rules then? Why ban him for your mistakes?
I understand it's typical to blame the staff for everything, but it is impossible to stop loopholes from occurring. Our rules state that you have to follow these rules and if you try to get around them in a stupid way, you will still be breaking that rule in our eyes.
