There's a lot of issues associated with MCM holding currency.

Although this is very true, I feel like it would really make the site take off if it existed; it would be a massive attraction for people; a PayPal-less forums where they can sell their services. MCM would then also have control over the currency for things like scams for refunds (I'm not quite sure how it would work but I'm sure it's a possibility).

I might be completely off the level here, but I really think it's a genuinely good idea.

I don't like the idea of a Minecraft forums holding onto my money, especially since they would then have to take fees and most likely require a suitable amount to withdraw.

The moment we start allowing users to exchange and cash out our credits, they become a currency, and legal liability and regulations escalate far beyond what we’re prepared to entangle ourselves with any time soon.

There may be other routes for enabling our authors to earn sales without the use of PayPal, and we are exploring those options as we speak. However, this particular suggestion is not one that we can go forward with.
