Make scam threads more noticable

I've made many deals with members who have open scam reports open against them.

I was thinking that it would be a good idea that you get notified somehow if you PM a member who has been accused of a scam or something in the past.

There are multiple suggestion threads open about things like this but none hit it head on.

I agree with Tulip's (banned) thread that scam threads should automatically be watched or at least have a way to set that in the options. Maybe even automatically watch a scam thread open with someone you PM'ed at any time? Make it an option for players so they can choose whether or not they want that.

I feel this will really help avoid potential scammers in the future.

Yeah it may get fairly annoying especially if you've been on MCM for a long time, that's why I think it would really work out well if they have it with customizable options.

This has been debunked again and again and again, and honestly I'm not gonna repeat why this is a terrible idea.

Anyway, I don't see why it's difficult to check a single page of scam reports before you make a deal with someone.

It's not that it's too difficult to do it but it would just be a lot easier if this was blantantly portrayed somewhere so that you can easily see it before dealing with people.

And again, it's the same reasoning as with the tag. If someone fails to check someone out before dealing for the first time, it's their own risk. If all you do is look at someone's profile, whether or not they have a scam report is the least of your concerns.
The majority of scams is not by people with open reports, its by people who are gonna have a report open after they 'complete' the deal. An experienced scammer manages to orchestrate multiple deals at roughly the same time, so they get maximum value before the scam reports go up.

Competitor forum already has this. (for once MCM doesn't have a useful competitor feature ) Also, that forum has suggestions of having this tag redirect to the user's open scam report

wtf the point of the suggestion section then if every suggestion gets denied by mick without a discussion then this forum should be removed

Like Ivain has said, this has been suggested and denied countless times.

The best way to explain why is the phrase "Innocent Until Proven Guilty", and that is something we aim towards on MC-Market.

I'll add this to the 'Read before Posting' thing in Suggestions.
