So, recently, I've been seeing a lot of people putting the "free" prefix when they don't offer free things, or only offer a "trial", you should only put the "free" prefix if what you're offering is 100% free (or requesting)

This is on the users. Sure, MC-Market could make a rule about it, but at the end of the day, it's still up to the users to follow it. There's nothing MC-Market can do beyond what they already can do.

MCM can enforce the rule and they can report threads not following it and edit the thread to change the prefix

Using the free tag for something that isn't free, would technically be against the rules already due to it been clickbait. Because a lot of people will only look at it, because they said it was free.

But like a lot of rules they scarcely get enforced.

"1.12 Do not post content that is misleading in any way, such as content that is intended to lure users. This includes, but is not limited to, posting threads with “bait” titles"

Users can already report threads. There doesn't need to be a rule for you to report an issue regarding a thread. I'm sure the moderators will agree with you on this and would change the prefix.

Rocket0191 has it right here, users can already report something that's not free content for 'misleading title' and similar things.

If someone is using the free prefix for something that isn't free then you're able to report the thread and say that it's using the wrong prefix and I'm sure a moderator will be reasonable and change it.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
