Hey guys

If you haven’t already, Simon made an announcement on the hypixel discord saying that he has a list of names for people to ban because they sell/bought coins

Remember when Mojang locked several Minecraft accounts when they came across our forum? We made it so only premium can only see it when it happened.

Most of you will probably disagree with me but think about it, would you rather have pretty much all of the buyers/sellers banned from this forum in Hypixel? Or nobody gets banned but you can only have premium to access the forum?

Many of you think he may be bluffing since it’s been a rule for a while, but are you really willing to take that chance?

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I would prefer if we simply remove the content completely.
Supporting people in their efforts to violate the terms or license agreements of the services they use is harmful enough on our image as a marketplace platform, but blatantly making changes to the site specifically to hide those violations from the people who would rightfully seek to catch the violators and terminate their service is something I want to avoid as much as possible.

The Minecraft account section, as a precedent, is like quicksand pulling us into businesses we should be avoiding at all costs. We cannot allow it to act as a justification for dipping our fingers into even more (and potentially illegal) grey/black hat activities. I don’t want us to be that kind of site, and I know I’m not alone in that.

If the owner of Hypixel joins MCM, I want to be able to offer him all of the same protections and rights as we grant every other product owner or service provider on our platform.
MCM should always encourage that the sound agreements our users participate in are properly upheld, regardless of how successful a business the agreement is with.

Funny since you've allowed illegal sale of Minecraft accounts since 2014, as well as allowing users to sell stolen Minecraft accounts.

It seems like McM clearly doesn't care about violating terms of service though? Then McM justifies this by saying that jacked/stolen accounts can't be sold, yet clearly a large percent of the OG market is comprised of jacked accounts and McM doesn't take much action to stop them from being sold

Maybe we should just remove mc accounts as a whole then if that is what you'd like?

Nah, we shouldn't remove either one
Why not? They are both breaking rules, people are being banned from the hypixel coins and I'm not sure why the market exists for coins, sort of just defeats the purpose of the game. I get it in things like gta v sort of but its not really the same. Also, like i said, people are being banned so its sort of pointless anyway and I don't think MCM wants that sort of reputation with the owner of the biggest server and possibly future business on hytale.

Since this suggestion was made we have disallowed the creation of threads selling hypixel skyblock items and coins.

I'll move this to denied, thanks for the suggestion.
