Make the punishments clear

I think that the punishments (suspensions, temp-bans) should be made clear, and so I suggest posting how many warnings would equal how much punishment in the rules page.

In case you didn't understand, a picture says a thousand words:

The reason for this? A lot of people don't understand or know the punishment system. I even asked some moderators, and after learning something I didn't know (7-day ban), I realized that even the moderator didn't fully understand what comes after that.

I agree. It would also be nice to know which offenses result in how many warning points.

Kids are already getting on my nerves with the rep system. I haven't done a deal with this dude and told him to screw off because he posted only an adfly link on one of my auction threads. After I said screw off he gave me bad rep... I haven't done any sort of purchase / deal with him... I agree to this.

I just made some numbers up, no idea when you get perm banned, which is exactly why I'm suggesting what I am.

Suggestions are like a revolving door. Sometimes they act on them, but most the time they don't.

I 100% agree with this, another feature added on to this is maybe after 6 months or so warning points start to gradually decrease, as long as you dont get any added in the 6months period

Only some warning points will expire. the only thing I want is to be able to set all warnings below 5 points to expire. Anything above that is serious enough to be permanent.

I guess I can easily make a wiki page on this after I get some info on it from bebosny. presently i know that you get a lengthier ban every 10 warning points, but idk by how much

I realized that even the moderator didn't fully understand what comes after that.

When I was a staff member, the warning thresholds were pretty clear. What isn't clear is that custom warnings (where staff enter a warning reason into a textbox, as opposed to selected a pre-defined warning), were not counted towards the warning threshold.

I'll see if I can find the old thresholds, they've probably changed though.
