Currently, the search feature is automatically set to "most relevant". However, the relevant threads are usually weeks, months, or even years old.

Searches with "most relevant"

These threads are weeks old.

Searches with "most recent" set

The switch to "most recent" could help prevent necroposting from some of the newer members, while making it more efficient for overall browsing.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

doesn’t it automatically start searching by most recent when you set it or does it make you click most recent each time

Big +1. This would result in less people messaging me about "my sniper" which was something I did for a few months about 5 years ago.

I believe that most relevant is decided based on views rather than age or something like that, and I'd argue that way of having search is more intuitive and useful for people in most situations. If you're looking to search based on the age of the thread/post then that option is also available.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
