Making a potpvp server

Hello, I just wanted to know If its worth it to make a potpvp(hcf, practice, kitmap etc) at the moment, I know MineHQ Is coming back and the pvp community Is kinda dying but does It worth It If I have like custom plugins(All the custom plugins will be made by me, any other premium plugins will not be custom)and stuff?

PS: I actually don't have a budget rn and when I have It will be really small(under 200).

I mean I would go skyblock or a nice kit pvp server xoxo. makes the most sense to me low budget but can succeed

It is worth it but you need easily $1000+ to compete anymore.
If it was 2014-2015 you could pull off a small budget but not anymore, nothing of quality is that cheap in today’s market, especially advertising and plugins.

Forgot to say, Just ignore the price of the plugins because I can do the most stuff myself and If i buy any plugin, It will not be custom.

200 should be good for builds or advertising but to fit builds, adv, and dedi into $200, that may be tough. It is definitely doable if you want to start off smaller with say 60 players.
Unfortunately, no matter how good your development is, without proper advertising and appeal, nobody will be on to appreciate the effort.
The HCF community especially is rather dumb imo and first looks at aesthetics instead of performance. If your server looks good and you have good advertisement, they tend to hop on those rather than some with no advertising and great development. An unfortunate truth to the community that some deny but is true.
