It's called not complying until the Mojang finds out that your server isn't following the EULA :).

Most servers aren't complying anyway. Smaller/Medium based servers will be unlikely to get blacklisted. Only the large networks that support thousands of players will.

Moral of the story, don't own a big server. :D

That's a shit moral.

I honestly think owning a large server is fine. I used to work with the owners on pvpSmash quite a large server; However, I think adding some game modes and being EULA compatible is not such a bad idea the main servers that you wanna sell advantages in game are mainly Factions to be honest lol.

Another way is to have separate servers. One free access server for all players, then a paid access one where stuff like new content happens first. (if its HCF, it switches to the new map first, way before the other server). then there's cosmetic ranks with custom resourcepacks, of course.
And then there's the option to set up a patreon or something similar, for non-ingame rewards. it's not likely to get you hundreds, but it might get you a little extra.

Just make the ranks where the users can get it after a certain amount of hours, lets say like 100 for a donator rank around 10$. Thus, not pay 2 win, as play 2 win can happen, just at extreme hours o.o
Could you do that?

A very interesting way I found was that players donate on someone's website for "Points" and with the points they can purchase kits, money, and items. The person goes to the buy section. Donates $15 they get the in game prefix and all cosmetic items and then points they can use through the website to purchase things. If you do not have a website and only a donations store I am not sure if this will work but you can do something like hypixel does and make monthly/weekly/daily token pickups in game that players can use to purchase kits, money, and items.

But personally, I think that this should not be needed. If players want to donate that is because they enjoy the server and would like to see it continue to run and have more features added. I feel as if they should only need to have cosmetic items.

1 more thing. Why haven't servers like TheArchon, CosmicPvP, and SaicoPvp been blacklisted yet. I am pretty sure they normally have 1k players every du.

I think it would technically be legal to do it Clash of Clans style for gamemodes that are not in realtime (so not factions, HCF and similar). In such a case, players that bought it would gain significant advantage over players that didn't. For minigames though, this should work fine, but it may be that Mojang thinks differently. you'll have to ask them.

Just give it a little bit of thought, look at Hypixel for an example.
