Really want to get into editing videos, but I'm not sure how I'd make money from it. Anyone know how editors make money? I mean freelance stuff, not editing movies or films or anything like that. Just YouTube stuff and montages and all of that.

Well look there are two ways you have to be reliable and you have to be able to give the youtuber the video at a certain time when they ask there are 2 things.
1. You could edit clips for them like edit out the bad clips and such and send it to them so they can mash it together and upload it
2. They give you the raw video and give you a discription of what they want and you do it. Most the time this is the one that is done and if you're good at it and reliable they usually add you to their team!
I know this stuff because I used to be big into youtube btw hope that helps btw just get into contact with youtubers if you want to edit for them many who upload everyday are looking for editing help. Also show your self as professional and have a good video ready to show them as an example!

Agreed! I love Mr. Sark and his editing. I would use his videos for analysing purposes
