Making Money Online (PLEASE READ WHOLE THREAD)

Hey, I am looking for a genuine way to make money online. I am willing to put in as much work as possible to make it well... work!

Anyways, I have a severe social anxiety disorder which causes me to not be able to have conversations with people and keep them, even online. I can't keep conversations with my own family...

I can't be in public often and can't get a job, I am eligible to make money off my disorder, but I am looking for a bit of extra income. If you can help in any way by listing some ideas or anything which could help me, please let me know by replying or DMing me on here.

If you want me to explain to know I am not joking or just looking for a quick way to make money online, let me try to explain it a bit more. I am not looking for quick cash, I want to put in a ton of work to make it work.

I would say, find something you are good at. Like graphics design or deving and pursue it

If it was easy to make money, its value would be worthless. But I can see that you’re willing to work hard for something despite your circumstances.

Learn a skill. The two distinct paths to invest in is either in design or development. In my opinion, however, I think coding/programming is far more accessible to a wider range of people as some people are just not very creative/imaginative enough to take on design naturally. That and there is more money and more opportunities to explore as a developer. Nonetheless, you need to have a passion for what you’re doing and hold innate interest in it to push yourself and grow.

Think of it in this way. Everyone has to start off at the bottom when it comes to learning skills. You’re not going to see quick money from this, but you’re instead investing your time for the future. $5 will turn into $50 which will turn into $500 and so on... I promise that will happen if you remain committed to your skill and improve it.

As for if you’re interested in design, there’s plenty of artists on this site who are super passionate and would really be open to offering advice. Working as a freelancer will require you to communicate with people online, which I know can be difficult for you with social anxiety, but I believe it will truly help you get better at talking with others. The only way to overcome your issues is to challenge it, and online chat isn’t as stressful as talking irl. There is less real-time pressure and more time for you to think before you reply to someone online. I’m sure you can do this!

I completely disagree with this, I loaned once and i got scammed, probably my fault for not enough background checks but still, for an only business this is probably a bad idea. Try something that requires little to no upfront cash.

Up the a certain amount it's legal. Guess it depends where he is from. If he ever gets to the point where he goes past that limit he'll be making enough from his craft to support himself anyway.

What skills do you have that can be serviceable? If you do stuff like graphic design, building in Minecraft, or coding then you can create a resource in https://www.mc-market.org/resources/ and people can purchase it automatically without having to contact you (unless they need help or have a question) so it limits human interaction :tup:

The big thing is finding or developing a skill that others see as valuable. The more valuable it is, the more money you can make. As others have stated above, there's no real easy way to make money. You need to invest time, effort and usually some money of your own.

In terms of ideas to make money, there are always hundreds of different ways. I'm gonna go off on a little bit of a different path compared to others. You could always look at stuff to do with eCommerce. This could be anything from dropshipping and creating online stores to SEO and marketing for already established sites. As more and more of the world's shopping moves online, these skills and career paths are definitely going to become more popular and more valuable. I have dabbled in dropshipping and SEO optimization myself, and I've made a decent amount of money for the time and money I invested.
