I am making this suggestion as its rather unclear to some people what the 9.3 rule "Do not hint, tip, or request a specific reputation rating on yourself or another member. " means.

Some people argued that you can ask for a rep as long as you dont ask for a specific rep, here is a quote for someone who argued this:
"Its worded that way for a reason. Justis said it himself, asking for rep after a deal is allowed, it only breaks the rule if you ask for a specific rep"

And some people argued that you cant ask/hint/tip for a rep AT ALL, doesn't matter if the rep is pos or neg.

I personally think that this rule should be more clear and specific, a lot of people are cautious when it comes to this rule, they should know 100% if they can ask for a rep as long as its not specific which one or they cant at all. I believe the rule would be better if you cant ask at all however you can say "Please consider leaving a rep as feedback for my service, this helps others know whether or not Im trustworthy".

Do you agree? Let me know by either using the agree/disagree buttons or leaving a comment, Ill reply as best as I can

if the staff team had half a brain cell they'd realize that people are only going to ask a person for rep if they know they had a good experience with the user, thus a positive rep. What idiot is gonna ask for a rep if there were problems with a user

Yeah, of course they know that and I agree, no-one would ask for a rep if they know they'll get a bad one however I always say "feel free to leave a rep" etc just to be on the safe side and if this entire time I was able to ask for a unspecific rep then that's pretty shitty.

You can't ask for a positive reputation. You are allowed to ask for a reputation but cannot hint whether it is positive or negative. That is the problem with the rule.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with the wording of this rule, it is clear about what is allowed and what isn't.

I'll move this to denied, thanks for the suggestion.
