A lot of you have probably already heard of the Mandela Effect but if you haven't here's the definition of it:
The Mandela Effect refers to when a large number of people share a false memory, originally attributed to the existence of multiple universes.
It seems pretty nonsensical at first, but once you see some of the examples of it yourself you may change your mind. Personally, I'm not sure if I believe in it or not, but some of the examples are pretty freaky.
Here's one of the examples that's weird for me:
The Staples Logo
Which one looks correct to you?
When I first saw this example I was freaked out because I never remembered there being a strange staple on the L. I guess it makes sense why that would be there, but I should have noticed it, right?
What do you think? Was the staple on the L always there? Have you just been reading it wrong? Are we in an alternate universe where the Staples logo is different?
Curious George
Notice anything off about this image? Curious George doesn't have a tail?
This is another one that was really confusing to me personally, as I vividly remember watching this show as a kid and watching Curious George swing from tree to tree just by using his tail.
If you look up pictures of him or re-watch any of the episodes, there are none that show him with a tail, like a monkey should have.
What do you think? Did Curious George always have no tail?
Darth Vader
Everyone remembers the infamous line in the Star Wars franchise where Darth Vader says
"Luke, I am your father."
But the thing is, he never said that. He's always said:
"No, I am your father."
Weird, right?
Isn't it strange how after all this time so many people have gotten an infamous movie quote like this incorrect? Many people remember it from the movie as 'Luke' instead of 'No'.
Every written or video record of this scene is said with a 'No'.
So, do you believe in the Mandela Effect?
Personally I'm not sure, but some of the examples are very surprising.
