Hey guys, this is our first post on the forum!
Let's not start with a bad impression, my name is Jack and I am the aspiring founder of Easy Host. Myself and some close friends have pooled our money together to try and get in to the Minecraft server hosting space, we know this will be hard, risky, and time consuming, but we love new challenges! We have prior expertise in the hosting sector, and want to give Minecraft a shot.
MC-Market is obviously the place to come for all things Minecraft, and we have recently been sharing a form around trying to collect some information regarding what people look for in a Minecraft host. We have tried to keep this form short, and if anyone wants to help us in our market research efforts, filling out this form would help us greatly! There are also a few rewards, because we know how precious your time is!
With thought out answers it took me 55 seconds to complete, can you beat me?
The form is here: https://easyhost.dev/giveaway
On to server sourcing. We have a few friends at Microsoft who we are hopeful can get us some pretty good servers at no cost to us. This is great, but we don't want to be using up their hard earned Azure credits when we know we have the ability to fund for ourselves. So, we are actively looking for individuals or small companies that host dedicated servers. We are ideally looking for maximising RAM whilst also getting the right processor, that can handle multiple Minecraft servers - after all, there is no point in having 32GB of RAM with a processor that can only handle 8, 1GB Minecraft servers! We must stress that we only want small to medium companies that provide servers, we have been in contact with companies such as OVH regarding our needs, but if we can help it, we want to support new companies, just like us! Obviously we need to justify our choice to help newer companies, by aiming to get prices similar to, or preferably cheaper than the larger hosting companies out there.
We hope we have given a good first impression, and look forward to any form responses we receive, as well as any hosting offers!
Kind Regards,
Jack D.
