Hello, my name is Mathew and I am a fifteen-year-old male looking for employment in the management and moderation field. I have around two years of experience with management and moderation in the Minecraft community and around one year in other miscellaneous communities. Welcome to my "Resume" you can say. In this thread, I will clearly present information regarding me and my management and moderation services. I will be going over personal information, my previous experience, strengths, weaknesses, and many other vital things for you, the employer to analyze. 1 | [Shut Down] Infinitum Realm:
Role: Owner
Year: 2016
Brief Description: Infinitum Realm was my first time owning a public Minecraft server. The server was OG factions and consisted of the basic game mechanics and gameplay features. We had a good first season for a brand new factions server with no advertisements. We upheld a good 15 player base daily and earned around $400 in total at the end of the 2-3 month season from donations. After the first season, my motivation just hit an all-time low so I decided to not start up another season and shut the whole operation down. Even though it ended sadly, I did learn basic things needed in a management position. I learned: basic configuring skills, simple bug identification and fixes, advanced moderation tactics, and I learned the overall basics functions of a server.

Brief Description: Infinitum Realm was my first time owning a public Minecraft server. The server was OG factions and consisted of the basic game mechanics and gameplay features. I decided to rename the server to "Infinitum" and try to recreate what I had before, but better. I ordered custom plugins to enhance gameplay and I overall boosted the gameplay features and mechanics of the server. I got a solid staff team and opened around 2 months after I started the operation. We had a slow start to the server as not a lot of people were interested in what we had to offer. We had a solid 4-5 player base daily and my motivation was once again going downhill. I decided to close the server down and prepare for the next season. I felt better once we neared release for the new season, but unfortunately, on our release day we got our console hacked into and our server files got completely wiped. This caused me to shut the server down.

Brief Description: In early 2017 I had the staff position of Helper on a factions server known as Jinxed Craft. I performed basic and simple duties as a Helper such as helping members with help concerning information about the server, moderating chat, etc. I did this for around 1-2 weeks and then I was handed a promotion on the server and received the position Helper+. Around 2 days after I received the promotion the server shutdown. I learned how to properly screenshare, efficiently moderate chat in hectic situations, and it boosted my patience overall due to some situations that occurred in my time as staff on Jinxed Craft.

Brief Description: Earlier this year I attempted once more to create a successful factions server that would have a steady and decent player base and a good flow of donations. I organized a stable staff team, custom plugins, a logo, and a trailer before our release. Everything was ready for the release, or so I thought. On release day I had to delay the release around 3 times due to a problem with the end. Once we released I immediately began to realize bugs and issues everywhere I looked. I had no beta release or anything testing wise. I ended up shutting down the server due to the server basically being broken. I learned that being prepared for the worst is the best thing I can do when releasing a server, which is not what I did. Even though it was a fail, I learned a lot from this experience

Self Control:
My ability to control myself has helped me a ton in numerous situations I have encountered while in a management and moderation positions, whether it be someone is threatening me, or someone is just plain out annoying me. With my self-control, I can maintain a professional and mature attitude and at the same time resolve the issue or situation at hand. This is, in my opinion, a very essential skill to have while in a management or moderation position as this shows that you are mature enough to deal with issues whether it be small or large.
Patience:
My ability to have patience in a management and moderation position has saved my reputation and my position many times. You will always have someone testing your patience in a management and moderation position whether it be intentional or not. This is why it is important to have patience so you don't lose your cool in a serious situation. In my experience as a Helper moderating chat, it can at times be very stressful and a real test on your patience. Multiple people messaging you, people spamming chat, and also some random person typing racial slurs. It was very important for me to have patience in these types of situations so that I could assist everyone's problems while at the same time juggling rule breakers.
Focus:
During my time as Owner on multiple servers, there were multiple experiences where my ability to focus was essential to fixing a problem. As an Owner, you receive multiple issues at once which some are more urgent than others. I was put in situations where I was dealing with an urgent situation and at the same time, something interesting and enjoyable was happening on the server. Like any normal teenager, I would be drawn into the more enjoyable thing that was happening. Thankfully I'm not normal ( no one is ) and I remained focused on the urgent bug or issue that needed to be dealt with at the time. It is important to maintain focus through hectic situations so that you can do your job correctly so that others around you don't have to take on unnecessary burdens or cause displeasure.

The following are my weaknesses that I've noticed in myself and that others have pointed out for me. These may present issues in working with me, so that is why I'm presenting them to you now so I don't create and unnecessary problems.

Stubbornness:
Yes, I, a teenage boy, can be stubborn at times. Sometimes if I think something should be a certain way and If for a fact think I'm right, I will argue and get mad at others for thinking otherwise and trying to change my mind. This may pose a problem in some cases, but usually, if someone explains it out for me I'll be alright. Other times I may just need someone to yell at me and put me in my place.
Other:
I don't really know what to call this, or if it is even a weakness, but I'll explain it anyways. Sometimes I may see something that is unorganized, or I see something out of place. I will be the kind of person to state my opinion in a rude fashion at times. Usually, I can keep my chill though and just approach someone with authority about the issue.

I often see managers or applicants put no reason why they are different or unique than any other person or applicant. So to straighten things out, I will be pointing out different reasons you should hire me than any other manager or moderator.

Hard Working:
Throughout my whole life I've enjoyed doing work and service for the pure satisfaction I get at the end by completing a task or my job for the day. This motivation I get from this drives me to work hard and get what needs to be done properly and efficiently. Whether it be a real life thing such as cleaning up my room and mowing the lawn, or in a Minecraft server fixing a bug or helping someone out in the chat. Even though this may seem like a small thing, it goes a long way in the way you present yourself and how you self-motivate yourself.
Independence:
As I've gone throughout my life, I've realized that I don't depend on others usually. I tend to make choices on my own without any input from others around me. While some people may think that this is a bad thing, in my mind I think it is a good thing when it comes to leadership. Think of you in the battlefield in a war, you are surrounded by enemy soldiers and your commanding officer has died and for some reason, everyone else who was alive had the same rank. Someone in the group has to make a decision on what to do next. If no one in that group had the independent mindset, then they would all end up sitting ducks and end up getting killed. It is in that situation where someone would have to exercise some of their independence to save not only their lives but the ones around them as well. Yes, that won't happen on a Minecraft server but you get the main point, right? Nothing would get done if everyone was just waiting for something to happen. This is why I think it is an important thing to have in a management and even in a moderation position.
Goodwill:
Many people advertising their services for management and (or) moderation services are in it only for the money or payment that comes out of it. However, the reason I want to fill a management and moderation position is to help grow healthy and enjoyable communities. Another reason is to overall make fun and enjoyable experiences with myself and others around me. If you are just in it for the money like some communities, the community will most likely turn toxic and corrupted and eventually decline in interest. One thing you will most likely not find in other managers and moderators is a goodwill to help the community. Yeah, this might all sound cheesy and BS, but it's the truth. Take, for example, Hypixel, their Helpers and Moderators are there to help the community and to have fun. Hypixel is the largest community in Minecraft and I'm pretty sure they have a healthy and enjoyable environment. Goodwill is important for having a healthy and growing community, which is one of the reasons why I have it.
