Hello,

I purchased Matrix AntiCheat v7.15.3 and I am unable to run it on my server. The plugin stays disabled (red) and throws a native loading error during startup.

Server environment

  • OS: Linux (Pterodactyl panel)
  • Java: OpenJDK 17 / 21 (x64)
  • Server software: Paper
  • Tested versions:
    • Paper 1.21.8
    • Paper 1.21.5
    • Paper 1.20.1
  • Matrix version: 7.15.3 (downloaded via BuiltByBit / matrix.rip)
  • Clean installation (no old configs)

Error log

Error occurred while enabling Matrix v7.15.3 (Is it up to date?)
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: hidden/Hidden0 (wrong name)
at java.lang.System.load(System.java:2025)
at ae51d5d6-b8cb-4997-8a26-34eb04ccbe2f.Loader.<clinit>
at me.rerere.matrix.Matrix.onEnable
Caused by: native library load failure
After this error, Paper automatically disables the plugin:

[Matrix] Disabled Matrix AntiCheat.

What I already tried

  • Re-downloaded the plugin multiple times
  • Verified the JAR integrity (opens correctly, plugin.yml exists)
  • Disabled antivirus
  • Tested multiple Paper versions
  • Tested Java 17 and Java 21
  • Clean server, no conflicting plugins

Result

Matrix never enables and /matrix command does not work because the plugin is disabled.

Question

Is Matrix v7.15.3 incompatible with:

  • Pterodactyl environments?
  • musl / Alpine Linux?
  • Paper 1.21.x?
If so, could you please:

  • Provide a compatible build or hotfix
  • Or confirm the required OS / libc / Java / Paper versions
Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Quvonchbek

Have you gotten your plugin activation license from their discord? and the plugin page says you can download the latest version from their website, maybe check there for an updated version?

Otherwise just contact the author and they can help you out.
