I don't think you should able to talk about or sell hacked clients. I remember Nodus back in the day, but don't know much about the new ones. I just think mc-market shouldn't allow them. And sorry if you don't I just see a lot of talk about them.

I don't mind talk, but there are loads of people selling "custom" ghost clients that are really just leaked ones from $10 to $20 + that can be found everywhere.

I think Mojang should add a proper anti-cheat, that just notifies them if the user isn't using the default client, then any server can allow/disallow modified clients to join.

Which means no more hacked clients, plus mods and everything still work.

+1 Honestly, if they need to post anything to related to hacks there are other forums for this such as HF. Even if this is a minecraft forum, i'd still wouldn't want hacks/modified clients that can alter the games mechanics to be posted here. It's annoying when most of them are not made by the user who posts it, and if a user really wanted hacks, they could go to wizardhax.com and get it. But selling it "private clients" when most of them are already "leaked" and/or not made by them shouldn't be posted here.

Plus hackers are annoying for server owners.

Nope, Mojang stated they wanted players to interact even more with the Minecraft client, such as hacks. You aren't allowed to distribute hacked clients, but you're allowed to use them. They don't exactly want you to go and grief servers, but they allow it:

Mojang - If you've bought the Game, you may play around with it and modify it. We'd appreciate it if you didn't use this for griefing, though, and remember not to distribute the changed versions of our software. Basically, mods (or plugins, or tools) are cool (you can distribute those), hacked versions of the Game client or server are not (you can't distribute those).

Lol you're a hacker yourself. Very bias opinion.

People sell the hacked clients they made... for money...
I bought one in the past.. its better than making one from scratch. :)

Hacking isnt bad, about 25% of all minecraft players do it.

Well 50% of kids are bullied but that doesn't make it okay. Not really a valid point. People who hack are a pain in the arse. I have to spend extra money to prevent people from doing so. And still sometimes that doesn't work.

People make money off of selling hacked clients...
and if they are not allowed here, people will just find somewhere else to buy it, like on minecraft-forge or something.

Making it a rule on not selling it here... wont stop it ingame :p

This is completely stupid, if you're a server owner, wouldn't you want to have the client in order to know how to block its use?

Heck, Stamina was sold for $500+ for an AntiCheat and it's one of the most wanted (leaked versions don't have proper bypasses) clients right now.

Did you not read what I said? I didn't say stop them from being made, I suggested a way for server owners to disallow them joining their server, it's totally in the players right to use a modified client, but it's not in their right to use one on a server they don't own against the wishes of the owner who spends money keeping said server open, imo.

I've used hacked clients in the past, sure they're cool, but given a chance to remove them completely? Hell yes would I take it.

I think they should keep em, some clients on here are leaked but it's up to users to check if it's leaked or not. Let's not disturb the people who sell actual custom coded clients by actual legit coders like myself.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

How ironic, did you read who I replied to?

Pretty sure I wasn't talking to you
