Hello, maybe we can create an API like Discord does to create bots for our own use. This was just the first thing that came to my mind, it's probably bad so pardon me.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I'd like to see some sort of MCM discord integration, but MCM doesn't seem to be interested in expanding to discord.

https://www.mc-market.org/wiki/terms/

"Furthermore, by using the Service, you agree that: (i) You will not use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited in these TOS; (ii) You will not use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper, or other automated means or interface to access the Service or extract other user’s information;"

MCM hates any sort of automated program accessing their website, so don't expect an API.

I don't mean like a bot to spam, I mean like an api for something useful, haven't thought of it yet, but maybe like a thread responder bot that you can code. You can make it respond different messages if it has different keywords

Creating tools to scrape a third-party website is frowned upon because the site can't easy control access to it. However, many sites and services have public APIs for developers that allow access to only what the site wants developers to have access to. It is tightly controlled and usually require some API key or token in order to use it. Tokens can be revoked for individual developers if they misbehave. I see no downside to this.
I don't disagree, but MC-Market's terms already prohibit any sort of automated access (which an API would be an automated access to their service). Only way this gets accepted is if Mick is to remove that clause, or revise it to exclude use of an official API- and knowing Mick, changes to the current rules will be hard to come by.

This could be another great way for MCM to earn money, maybe MCM can have api keys only for upgraded members or until they reach a certain achievement like 20 good reps or 50 reactions, 10 posts, something like that, this may encourage people to upgrade and contribute.

I agree, however as Croc argued, it probably won't even be added. Mick and the staff team have denied this several times.

This has already been suggested many times. Just look back through all the suggestions and you'll find them.

I don't understand why web-scraping data into a REST API is a bad idea at all.

Yeah, I don't get their stance on it either. You can can get a lot of data by passing the HTML alone (though pretty tedious), and they would have full control over the API, and who has access to it.

Not much we can do though other than being peristant.

As others have said, this has already been suggested and denied in the past. We also have a suggestion currently pending for the implementation of an API though, and we do intend on releasing one for our Ultimate users eventually.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
