MC-Market Checkout System

Hello everyone, I have gotten this idea from another forums that uses this method for users doing large and expensive transactions.

I've seen thousands of dollars been scammed for the deal being insecure, MC-Market can easily fix this. If they installed a checkout system. Essentially users browsing a [SHOP] thread can click a button called "Start Checkout" it will bring them into a private DM with both parties and a Staff member to conduct the trade.

MC-Market would have no liability of lost items however it would offer a trusted and safe middleman service, It would require a fair bit of work and coding to implement this feature.

But I see this changing the dynamics of MC-Market in a positive way,

I disagree, this would require staff members to contribute to an extra responsibility not currently part of their job description. Staff members would also then be liable to accidentally lost items/money and could cause issues with MCM.

Users deal at their own risk, with support of the reputation system. Dealing is upon discretion of players and should stay that way (my opinion).

This seems like a good idea, it won’t work though. If you want a safe and trusted middle-man that you trust than you should probably try looking in the Middleman section.

There are no plans at the moment to introduce some sort of official process for middlemanning on MC-Market. It is far too difficult and puts too much liability on the site.
