I might get a lot of people disagreeing with me on this, but I think it would be a cool idea if MC-Market had it's own currency/coin which you can purchase with PayPal, Venmo etc.
Then you can send it to other MC-Market users. Then, you would be able to sell the coin in exchange back to PayPal to other users.

Positives:
- Could lead to a lot less charging back on PayPal (as you wont be able to chargeback the transactions with it)
- Users who can not pay PayPal F&F and aren't "trusted", can be trusted by using this currency
- Would easily be purchasable by a new tab on the top of the screen.
- Can easily be investigated by MC-Market staff if the seller did not send the products
- Would attract more users to use this website.

Negatives:
- Could put a lot of stress on MC-Market staff (although could be cancelled out by the decrease in scam reports)
- Fees could be high when purchasing the currency.
- Could not be appealing for many users

No disrespect, but after "XF2" nothing made sense.

How are we supposed to purchase Mc-Markets "Currency" but we can't send to one another. That defeats the purpose of the credit system or whatever. You said it is simply for transactions with MCM. So you are saying we can only use it on account upgades...
I explained the idea of the non-transferable MCM credits in my long post above. To start off with, these credits will only be able to be used for the ads manager, but in the future, it is possible that we may also extend it to account upgrades/medals/maybe some other stuff. I'd love to know what you think about the idea.

Not bad not bad, I would love to see this extend to upgrades/medals/and some other stuff. But I believe that if a user has a certain rank such as Supreme, they can then use the "Credits" and transfer it to the user. Example below.

Pink - Interested in OG minecraft account
Mick - Asks for either $300 cash or 3000 credits equivalent to $300
Pink - sends Mick 3000 credits

Now mick can use said credits for his ads or his account upgrades and such.
The problem with a system like this of an on-site credits system is what happens if I scam you or you scam me? What happens if I give you the account details, you pay me the credits and then I change the details and take the account back? If you get scammed, you'd like that amount refunded to you of course, but what if those credits are already spent?

MC-Market credits being used in deals essentially makes MC-Market your middleman in every transaction you do with them and that puts a huge amount of responsibility and liability on MC-Market. It won't prevent or even reduce scamming, it'll just change it so that people scam MCM instead of other users which isn't really something I want.

P.S. just a theoretical of course. Minecraft account sales aren't allowed on MC-Market and they won't be in the future.

That is the risk, make sure to put it in TOS. If scammed it is not 100% guranteed of funds being refunded. But of course ban the user that scammed. If they aren't willing to take the risk, don't deal with users.

For any legal teams, WE ARE NOT SELLING OR BUYING A MINECRAFT ACCOUNT. Simply a theoretical question.
Dude, then the purpose of this entire idea is gone

It isn't fair for others that do indeed want to do it. Maybe make it so if you purchase a role you have access to do pay others. Either way, it should be super protected for people only like Violet and many other high repped members. What if Violet wants to purchase and account from another high rep person. Yet she doesn't want to have to get the funds then purchase. The other person can then send her the amount that she is requesting in credits, then being sent the account. If any high rep member were to scam another, the scam report will be opened and I am pretty sure they don't want to get banned? All I am saying is have the option out there but for high rep. Or make the system exactly how you choose staff, you sit in the shadows watching everyone and how they help the community and the pounce and get them. Yes you can do this for the "Trading Credits" system, only allow people you seem can handle it without having to screw over Mc-Market.
Ngl they wont ever add this shit, also it says MALE on my profile. But okay I can be a girl if you want to.

I mean, if you're willing to put up with 20%+ transaction fees so MCM has enough cashflow to deal with the legal and liability issues this will inevitably cause, it might be plausible.

Since I last posted on this suggestion explaining the new Credits system it has been implemented on the site. We now have MC-Market Credits which are only for transactions between you and MCM. Moving forward it may be feasible to have a more complex system with more options, but that's just how it'll be for now and at least until our XF2 migration.

The idea suggested in the initial suggestion thread is unfortunately infeasible. I'd love to be able to facilitate all transactions onsite and take a cut so I could buy a mansion, but the costs and liabilities are too high to even try a system like that for a platform so small.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
