MC-Market is becoming an advertising platform for stupid discord servers

Left and right I see markets being advertised, following up are investment servers and such. It needs to seriously stop.

This is supposed to be the main platform and offer safety, but any kind of scammers can join a discord server and scam MC-Market users at their pleasure.

Enforce the rule.

Well I to agree with this to a degree, but a major catalyst to this issue is peoples general stupidity. You see a guy offering you a setup or a plugin that would usually cost 10x the price he's offering you, he's got 0 rep, joined 15 minutes ago, what do you do? People just need to sharpen up, and maybe use middlemen more often. In terms of investment, I agree with the fact that a ton more people are coming on here pitching fairly bad ideas and requesting huge investments, the only fix I could suggest to decrease this would be to maybe set a requirement in terms of rep, member duration, etc, if you want to request an investment.

There's a lot of debate (and discrepancies between each Moderator's view on the rule) on what is allowed and what isn't. I believe the rule is: Discord invites are allowed if they are directly tied into a MC-Market offered service. (ie; Service Teams). Anything else (Market places, community servers, etc) are not allowed, and are considered and "external gangs or community".

Some Moderators won't remove invite links, where as others will.
Rather then the "enforcing" part, I believe the Staff Team needs just universal guidelines.
There are too many cases of "Why did x say it was allowed, but y says it's not"

Most (if not every) service team has some sort of Discord system for ticket management. Clients create a ticket, a commission is posted, someone accepts, you discuss, they begin work, you receive the files. It is so much easier to have a platform to keep everything neatly organized (whether it is a discord server, or if you have an online commission system like Lotus does) Handling commissions inside of private messages are a chore, considering the bulky nature of MC-Market communication, compared to Discord's instant messaging.

Same boat here. If someone asks me to join a Discord server for a deal to be done, I simply bypass them completely.

Agreed, literally there's someone offering a Discord bot and this man wants you to join his Discord Server? Like I genuinely am beginning to think these people don't think you can use the Direct Messaging System on Discord. They need to wake up.

If you're dumb enough to fall for the "invest $50 today, get x10 your money tomorrow" you deserve to get scammed. js

99% of the population is dumb. This market should ensure the security of it's users within it's website.

We stop people from advertising external communities or marketplaces on the forum for the safety of our users already. If someone is advertising an external community or market please report it and we'll remove the content.

We allow service teams and other discords to be advertised on MC-Market because they are directly offering a service.
