How hard is it nowadays to get a nice server up and running? Get a active player base etc, what costs would I be looking at starting it up regarding advertising and hosting, aswell as the costs in the future? This kinda leans more towards server owners and their experiences but any feedback would be awesome :) Any tips for new servers owners like me would be cool.

I kinda worded all this weird but I'm sure you guys know what I mean lmao

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I started out as an admin/developer, learning from others, etc before I started owning my own servers. Its hard. If you want a good quality server with quality art, a trailer, plugins/configurations, staff, and a player base, you are looking at $500 starting up. Now survival servers are going to be cheaper like $300 (Im making a survival server right now) but custom faction servers and even intense skyblock servers will be $500+ starting up for a decent server. Then again you could easily make a simple sklyblock server for a total of $100 + monthly hosting fees

Titan nodes is an amazing, first time server owner, hosting option (I do not work there or make money off of me telling you this). I used them before and I use them now. If your looking for hire end hosting id use sparked host but they are hire end therefore more money.

Good luck!

First get a estimate on how much your hosting will cost for mc store forums (if your doing forums) and discord (if you have custom bots) then get a estimate on your ads and what you left with invest it into your server in my opinion

If you're not passionate about Minecraft, don't waste your time! Expect to make $0 until you've spent what feels like too much of your own money.

Besides that, the experience of growing something bigger than you is priceless.
