StudyCraft
So, I usually get creative at night so I decided to make this. I could get this whole system custom coded and it'd cost around 1000.00 USD but I think it'd still be worth it. This would be a Minecraft RPG system that would be implemented in schools, or atleast my goal, and would make learning K-8 math very fun. The gamemode would involve Java subjects which the student can join and play through an RPG world and master the course by stumbling across puzzles as finding a code to get to a new pathway where he has to fight mobs, which would be easy as the whole point is to study but also have some fun, so the noobs should be able to get through the game with ease.

The gamemode would a User Panel where the users can look at there progress which they can also do ingame, and compare them selves to other users. Users will also be able to make Coding Gangs to make it really competitive.

I'm not planning on doing this for any income at all as I feel that this would be a very fun way for players to study or maybe even a new way to study, as the Minecraft in Education thing is getting pretty popular, so this could fit in well.

I also plan on making this competitive for the players as players will be on a RPG world with only players on the same grade level, and stats would be seen online and the whole goal of the game is to finish the subject and master all of the skill to pass the real life tests.

Some of you might think this idea is dumb, but this is just a little bit of detail and I think this could help a lot of children who are bored of the same old videos and reading textbooks on Java can get a change and have fun learning Java.

Please tell me what you think of this and be very truthful about it and please support it.
Also, please don't go on making something like this as I took a long time thinking of this and would like to make this with the intentions to help others like me, not to make bank!

Hour of Code already achieves this idea, but it's just once a year.
Mojang implemented something related to minecraft for high school boys to play with and learn some really basic java language
Thanks, but this idea isn't really about code but actually subjects that they teach in school, but the code part is actually pretty interesting but I think regular math and now adding the code concept would really help.[DOUBLEPOST=1450410741,1450410689][/DOUBLEPOST]The main Idea of this project will no longer be Math subjects, but how to actually code Java.

Yea I know, I was just saying I made that in the past. It would be simple to implement other subjects using what I already have

Basically, Educational minecraft?
Educational games definitely work. Back when I was a primary school kid, the RedCat games were popular. These were primarily games that included Spelling, basic arithmetic, topography and similar subjects as main topic, with them being essential game elements.
During 3 years I was homeschooled, half my program consisted of those games. As a result, I was able to take the entrance test to determine my level of middle school 1 year early. I still got a sufficiently high score to get into the highest level no problem. (dutch people will recognize the terms CITO and VWO).

So yes, if you design it well with a suitable learning curve, small but effective rewards and a proper integration into the RPG, it is definitely a viable program.
However, it is getting schools to accept it that will be difficult. Most schools will be unwilling to accept anything that was not made in cooperation with the creators of the game itself, or at least with their blessing. It is gaining legitimacy that will prove the main problem, I think. You may want to start coming up with a battleplan for that now.

Good idea, but there will probably be a bit of hate against it from teachers if you do not balance the game part and the learning part correctly.
