Hello all,

Over the past 2 and a bit weeks, I've been working on a new site to help those who are selling domains - MCJoins.

MCJoins is a simple, and free, way for you to display how many joins a certain domain gets.

How do I get started?
To get started, all you need to do is register for an account at https://mcjoins.net/register then confirm your email (you're sent a confirmation email!)

Then, add the domain and in your DNS point the domain you entered to analytics.mcjoins.net (using a CNAME record) and wait for the joins to count up.

For now, accounts are limited to adding 5 domains to their account whilst the website is in testing, once I am able to see how the site holds up, etc.

How does this work?
When a player joins the domain you are looking to sell, whether that be via direct IP or from their server list, their join is tracked and they are kicked with a message (this one to be exact)
From there, our database is updated and the website is updated when the cache is re-populated.

How can you help?
Report any bugs! I've tested the service myself, and I've had a few others test it with me, however there will always be bugs I haven't found. So if you do find any, please inform me.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Seems really cool! I'll give it a test with some of my domains!

You should figure out how to allow it to track joins and still go to a valid server. Like a redirect. You would get more users then.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I initially had an idea of doing something like this, however kind of stopped after I realised the amount of work it'd require.
However now that it's been asked for, I'll see what I can do! :)

Don't ever stop because it requires more work. The more work part is what would make this unique. I could easily, and I do mean easily, set up a site that could keep a count of active logins.

It was a lot of work for something that was still starting up.
I'd like to continuously push out updates and keep the site alive, rather than everything at once.

But if you try and release only a half coded project, it wont get off the ground.

Bump.

Fixed an issue with the firewall sometimes hating us and blocking connections to the proxy, should all be working now.
Working on adding personalised MOTDs / kick messages, then will eventually work on client passthrough for certain domains.

I am aware that the site, and the CDN, is down, this is due to OVH's outage (what a surprise eh?), which can be monitored here.

My apologies![DOUBLEPOST=1457197165][/DOUBLEPOST]Site is back online!

Now with a better nav bar, with the features to change your password (without going through the forgot your password form)!

Hello all!

It's time for an update, I think.

I have been reading and listening to the feedback you have all submitted, and most of it is now in the works. Some ideas are more complete than others.

Until these features are ready for release, you are able to apply for beta access.
To do so, please email "[email protected]" with any title and any message, just make sure its from the email your account is linked to. If you get an email back, you're in! If not, your account wasn't successful.
The email will give you more details about the beta.

Thank you all!
- James

I don't know if I should vouch, but it works. Haphazardly before I found this thread I was bored so I tried random server IPs, and than it said MCJoins analytics, and there you go
