Personally, I don't believe it's right. That being said, I will respect that they are both happy and that it is none of my business.

You can date. You cannot have any sexual contact with anyone under the age of 16-it is a 40+ year felony depending on her age. This includes touching her butt or breast. Over 16 is a misdemeanor. But the problem is that if anyone thinks that contact is happening it can be very hard to prove otherwise. If you are convicted, you can end up a registered sex offender for life (there is an exception if you are less than 21, the difference is less than 4 years and the judge decides it is not against community interests.
It is better to just say no.

Online relationship isn't a real relationship. You guys can think otherwise, but it's not logical. You may be "Dating" some girl/guy who lives across the country, but how do you know she/he hasn't been with other guys or doing some crap behind your back? There's no way to moderate, nor know unless you were there physically at least within the same city where you're more aware of what's going on and who she/he's talking to. Never put your trust in someone you met online at all. That's all I can say.
