Hello all,

I'm a little bit old here, but not so many of you know me. I'm not so active these days, but that doesn't really matter. I've performed a good number of transactions through this platform, and it has been really great to work with so many of you over the years. Unfortunately MCM is very focused on making it hard on all of us, in a very unfair way.

I haven't logged into my account for several months, but upon logging in today I came across this message.

Hello TellTale,

A dispute is being opened on the feedback you’ve left on Dann’s profile in order to conclude whether or not it is rule abiding.

View The Feedback Here

Our reputation rules are as follows:

Keep in mind, to satisfy rule 9.1, your review needs to be factual, informative, and relevant.
View our reputation system wiki for additional information.

Please attempt to resolve this dispute, either by coming to a mutual agreement, or providing your own sufficient evidence to support your claim that the feedback does or does not satisfy our rules and awaiting our staff team’s final decision on the matter.
Dann, you are responsible for keeping this dispute active.
TellTale, failure to cooperate will result in your loss of this dispute.
Do not add a staff member to this conversation. Your dispute has been logged automatically and a staff member will join as soon as one becomes available to review the discussion.

Please remember to remain respectful to each other at all times, or you may be warned.
More information on our reputation system and dispute process can be found here: https://www.mc-market.org/wiki/reputation/

Thank you for your cooperation,
- MC-Market Staff

Now Dann here provided me an excellent service some time ago, and I very much appreciate the quality of his service. I left a review for him, perhaps three years back, and today, we see that this is now "not good enough", and inactive members like myself, we cannot dispute this, and, even, why should we have to? It's a huge stab in the back.

Following comments run like so:

Dann - Either yourself or other other party will need to provide evidence of the deal mentioned in the reputation point so that it abides by our reputation system rules, specifically rule 9.1.1.

Neither party could provide evidence of this deal/interaction.

Dispute closed.
Rules cited:

And then today:

Shout out to Dann for his services. very sorry that he has to experience this here. I thought this site was better than this, but obviously it is not the case. There are better alternatives however, and so I won't grieve over this, I just ask that maybe you @MCM can offer some level of RESPECT to your member base, and do not continue this absurdy.

- Velcer

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I don't think this is inconsiderate, just a rule that could be easily fixed up.

The system was made to well, make reputation disputes systematic and better for everyone. It being handled for you isn't different from anyone else; they get the same treatment. If you guys were inactive for however long, it's no different.

You can always re-open the dispute by replying and the appropriate staff member will amend it. It's not that hard.

It's not inconsiderate. They can't hold off on deleting a dispute because someone is inactive. That would literally defeat the purpose of the system.

Completely agree with you. Not sure what MCM is becoming. Resource leaks, doesn't listen to community, these rep rules, and more. Feel free to disagree with me.

A system that makes old rep not good anymore? I think that's terrible. There's so many people with so many previous customers that they will likely never contact again. I think it's very unfair.

If you want, we can go back to the old system where people's rep will be mass reported without any ability to dispute it (it happened). Even so; you were always supposed to provide proof even with the old one. If you didn't that's entirely on you. Old rep isn't removed (just blacked out for less visibility) unless it didn't have proof.

Aparrently they're going to be adding a way for us to add evidence of the previous deals to the feedback ourselves, instead of relying on the people who left the feedback to do it.
