This is a repost from the General Discussion. I realize there has been a separate suggestion for a meetup (which has been declined), but I'm proposing something a bit different.

Hey everyone!

From what I have read, a lot of MCM members will be attending Minecon this year! At last, I can happily say I will also be attending Minecon:)!

As a new member, I have been trying to garner reputation throughout the community. In my eyes, Minecon is an amazing networking opportunity where we can all meet each other and represent each one of us for who we truly are! Therefore, I am proposing that we organize an MCM Minecon Lunch!

Prior to asking me what I am smoking, hear me out:

Spigot did this last year, and the feedback was amazing. Lots of members were really happy with being able to meet other members and staff!

I realize that few, if any, MCM staff will be present; therefore, I call on the members of MCM to help organize this!

I dont think a lot of people are going to minecon 2016. I think they bought tickets to resell and make profit right before Minecon

I won't be coming and I'm not going to allow something official to be organised without my presence. You can make this unofficial but keep in mind that we're not responsible for anything.

Also, you can't really compare us to Spigot. They are much larger, have their own booth and Mojang has their backs. Let's also not forget they have pretty much all large servers supporting them.
