MCM SMP Earth

Hey there,

I'm sure many of you have seen SMP Earth (A Minecraft SMP based on a map of Earth built within Minecraft). It's hosted by the SMP Live group, and it is a very interesting concept, and decided to see if anyone on MCM was interested in our own SMP Earth.

The point of this SMP is to build alliances and make friends (Oh, and also to take over the world). Claim your country, and kill other countries(Factions) and overclaim their land.

Information:
Minecraft version 1.12.2 (As of now)
The map will be 1:2000 scale (http://earth.motfe.net/)
Factions plugin to claim land and create countries. Create truces or start wars.
Planes that can allow you to fly from continent to continent.
We'll be featuring a live Dynmap to see the map on your browser.

If you are a server host, or have a dedicated server / VPS with spare RAM and storage, I am looking for a host to sponsor the server. Because of the large map size, as well as Dynmap being installed, we will need a somewhat beefy server with a good amount of RAM and extra storage to support the file size of the map and Dynmap.

The map only supports 1.12.2, and updating it using WorldPainter requires a massively beefy computer (Website suggests at least 24GB of RAM).

I tried to do something like this myself a long time ago and I think it’s sick that someone actually did it. I would definitely love to see something like this on a server.

I have a PC with 96 DDR3, so I could do it.

My main rig has got 32gb of RAM and I usually don't use it for days at a time, I could run it
