Hello, and welcome to MCM Weekly, your one stop source for important MCM info! I'm your host, User. This week, we have many bans, many OGs, and some VERY important news from off-site concerning a competitor forum and new Minecraft game!
This week has been equally heavy in bans as the last. Again, it will be quite hard to include all details, but I will do my best to inform you.
Let's begin with the compromised account banwaves. 18 different accounts were banned between 2:07 PM and 3:39 PM EST on May 16th, notably, cvde, Ice, ItsRandall, and 8qBIT. A second banwave came along from 7:27 AM to 7:37 AM EST on May 18th, with several more following in the hours after. 10 were banned in the initial banwave, and 2 more in the hours after, including uwu, user01, and punctured. This is mostly due to credential stuffing caused by the breach of a competitor site, which I also discuss below. I'll leave the details for that section.
110364, a well known OG buyer, was also banned for a compromised account. However, this was not during the same period of time as the banwave, so I believe this is a different case.
Following these, we have several ban evaders, including Ironic, chichi, and Kangaroo. chichi and Kangaroo are just your standard ban evading accounts of well-known members that scammed out. chichi was banned for evading ichigo (although they claim to have been false banned, and currently have an appeal account as chichiBanAppeal [and also possibly chichiBANNED], so we'll have to see how that turns out), and Kangaroo was banned for evading smuj (also known as Mercy).
Ironic, however, has a very different case. Originally, he was banned for evading tacobob771, who was banned for an unsatisfactory build on valaiyar's server that he refused to refund. I also noticed that tacobob771 has a temporary account which last logged on yesterday. However, while creating this thread, I noticed the ban reason had changed the username to MarsIsDaddy, a completely separate account, banned for refusing to refund Nubbles for an unsatisfactory website. Ironic's family, Maddys Son, Hitoo, longdog, and Braincells, are mourning the ban. Ironics Beanbag would be too, if it weren't for his ban handed out within the past hour, for ban evading @Kevin300. RIP.
Following Ironic is remibarna and rotteN, two very well-known members of the community, both banned for excessive violations of the rules. The nail in the coffin for remibarna was, supposedly, a rant thread using derogatory sexist and racist language. As for rotteN, I do not have any info. I will keep you updated if I get any hints.
Next is U130477, banned for leaking a user's IP. We don't have any details on this, as there is no given evidence, reports, related posts, reputation, etc. If more info comes in, I will keep you informed.
Finally, we have Robert and Areeb scamming out. Robert exit scammed over $500 from at least 4 different people through his cryptocurrency exchange. He did not respond to any of the scam reports created on him. Areeb, on the other hand, admitted to scamming.

This ban was totally unfair. To me, it looks pretty obvious that it was a joke. The only evidence given is https://gyazo.com/a704da28f83e0d01c7c17a76847a3f3e, a profile post saying "I'm a scammer". Solid proof, guys.
Exoticc (now known as fraud) has continued to bring even more great accounts into the market, along with Left Kneecap, Right Kneecap, and more. This week, we have: Volt (thread deleted, mysterious...), Meth (ItsRandall, but he's been banned), Grow (ww_ww), 3s (Doggy Fanpage, sold), 8q (Doggy Fanpage), Anxiety (Doggy Fanpage), Rust (Nate), Funny (Hunter Z), Star (snakes), pie (David.), Cart (Nine) and What (Hunter Z).
A competitor site (which shall not be named, because I don't want to be publicly executed by Lotus) recently suffered an extreme breach, possibly by the admin of a leak site (which also shall not be named, please don't murder me). According to KrebsOnSecurity, this breach, published to the leak site, contained "the usernames, email addresses, hashed passwords, private messages and IP address at the time of registration for approximately 113,000 users." Ace, an administrator for the site, has disabled the self-ban feature (similar to disabling here), so users of the competitor site can not hide themselves. Our community has many members that also use said forum, so I highly suggest you change any passwords that you also used on the competitor site.
May 17th was the 10th anniversary of the release of Minecraft, which this forum is based after. To celebrate, Mojang released a classic version of Minecraft, playable in your browser at classic.minecraft.net. However, that's not all. They also announced a brand new augmented reality game by the name of Minecraft Earth! Minecraft Earth has been often compared to mixture of Minecraft and Pokemon GO, in that it is a mobile augmented reality game focused on collecting animals. However, Minecraft Earth features so much more. From their website:
- "Explore! Your real-life neighbourhood is about to take on a new dimension. Gather resources, take on challenges, and experience a whole new world to discover!
- Collaborate! Build even better by teaming up with other Minecraft Earth players. You can craft amazing creations together. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
- Survive! Sure, you’re good at fighting hostile mobs in Minecraft, but are you ready to battle Minecraft mobs in real life? Best of luck, because we’re going to put your survival skills to the test!"
