Hello, and welcome to MCM Weekly, your one stop source for important MCM info! I'm your host, User. This week hasn't been too eventful (at least in what will be covered in this edition, more on that at the end), but there has still been some MAJOR bans this week, along with a few OG accounts and a widespread "Google Cloud" outage affecting numerous websites and applications. Let's begin!
This thread will be updated as new information comes in, feel free to PM me with anything of importance you would like to add! The next MCM Weekly thread will be posted on Sunday, June 9th.
In the latest news of compromised accounts, we have Richest (also known as Dird), Jasmines Cat, and Hunter Z.
Richest mainly posted in General Discussion and Appraisals, but after a $750 BTC scam, this user was found to have been compromised. Truly unfortunate. Bogle was a prominent middleman, currently holding 39 winner ratings on his MM thread, making it the 3rd most well received of all time. However, after a scam report was made and he was late on a $750 loan from ImPrank, the user has been banned. Finally, there is Hunter Z, an extremely prominent OG seller and collector. You most likely know him due to the short and clean usernames he owned, including XD, wtf, 3o, ign, Mrs, nty, G0, and more. Sadly, this is the last user to have been compromised this week. Luckily, it looks like there was no scamming with this account before the ban occurred.
However, those were not the only bans this week. We also have Waffle banned for ban evading from the account "FroztMC" and several somewhat well-known users that have scammed out, including Maxi, Venux, and Arian.
olget was also banned for leaking user resources. They claim this ban was false, but no evidence has been given yet, so we'll have to wait and see.
To conclude, we have a bit of information regarding Kamikaze's ban. Kamikaze, also known as Yami or Erina, was originally banned for a compromised account. He was temporarily unbanned for a non-public reason, but was recently banned again for "conspiring to exit scam", with a hidden thread linked as the ban reason. According to Nas, a.k.a Kamikaze, he wasn't able to sufficiently prove his Discord was hacked, and was then banned as a result.

Maxi was banned over a 1 cent Mirillis Action code. LMAO.

Earlier today, June 2nd, Google Cloud experienced a widespread outage in some regions, including the east coast of the USA and various areas of Europe. After just four hours, these issues were resolved, but these affected numerous services, including Youtube (unable to upload, view suggested videos, view inbox, view own channel, view subscription box, etc), Gmail, Discord, Snapchat, and many more. According to Google, the root cause was “high levels of network congestion in the eastern USA”.
Sorry for the 2 hour late post tonight, everyone. I was working on a few things of my own, including fixing my chair, editing a video, testing recording/render settings (apparently gt 1030's can handle 720p @ 240fps, that's good to know), etc. Hopefully it was worth the wait.
In regards to the iSource drama (and linked accusations regarding Eclipse and others), I'll be saving that story until a future MCM Weekly, or it may even be a breaking news segment as a standalone thread. I'd postponing the coverage as there is currently a lot more opinion, bias and unconfirmed allegations than ideal, and I believe that if I were to cover it, my story would be misleading at best, and outright wrong at worst. I try to keep my news as accurate, up-to-date, and truthful as possible. In a week or two, when the news has developed more, and a conclusion is in sight, I'll be able to cover the story much better. Thank you for your understanding.
