Hello There!
My name is ImagineerPotato (Sam) and I’m the Technician Department Manager here at MCParks! In my department, we’re always looking to create new and innovative ride experiences for all of our guests around the world. With our ever growing community, now recently passing 60,000 unique visitors. The one thing is, to create these experiences we need more Cast Members (specifically Technicians)! So, if you’re interested in becoming a MCParks Technician feel free to apply, we’re always looking for new faces! If you have any questions about what this may require or entail, read below, where we will list responsibilities and information about applying.
The Application Process: (Am I Even Qualified?)
To become a Technician, we first ask that you are at least 13 years of age, this is just to ensure privacy, but exceptions can be made in special cases but must be approved by the Manager.
To become a Technician, we actually require little to no background information in this field. We find that with our new systems that we use to create shows and experiences on the server, that it is actually easier for us to teach you how we specifically do things.
Use of proper grammar and extensive knowledge of the English language is preferred.
Job Roles/Responsibilities:
When being hired (if accepted), you will first be a Technician Earning My Ears. This is when you are first starting out, learning our systems and how things are done. You will probably be assigned to a project in these first few weeks.
Once you have completed the Earning My Ears program, you will be promoted to Technician. When promoted, you will then be given the option of what you want to work on, usually coming from a list of what is available/prioritized.
You are expected to be able to commit at least five hours a week to the server.
You are expected to be able to complete between 1 & 2 projects in the time span of a month (exceptions will be made for larger/smaller projects).
You are expected to use proper grammar, and treat all other Guests & Cast Members with respect.
You will either actively be working on a project on the server (Rides, Shows, etc.) or working as a Developer (developing & maintaining plugins)
