There has been way too many alt account bans recently, Maybe there could be a dedicated team of people who check over people who register to see if they have the same IP as anyone else? It will stop most multi accounters, just not the one who use different IPs

I like the idea, however I fear it could be a lot of work.
Wouldn't it be possible to have an automated system for this though? If an account is banned on your IP, don't allow any more registrations on that IP.

I was thinking something similar..
But more along the lines of...

If someone tries to register with the same IP as another member, they have to fill out an application with their registration, explaining their situation, pending moderator approval.

Since members with the same IP are always found and confronted by Anthony R, this would at least save some time.
After all, the only circumstances where a member would have the same IP as another member is if they're using a public VPN, which is supposed to be restricted anyways... Or they're making an alternate account, which are either not permitted, or have to be approved by staff.

I'm not sure what other information staff have at their disposal to determine whether or not an account is an alt, but if it can be used to automate account restrictions... :tup:

Or a family member/friend is registering using same internet connection. But overall, I agree with your post.

I have siblings , if we all hsve accounts on here, we would get banned for no reason. What they should do is set it where you have to confirm your minecrsft account with your mc-market account, this will slow down some multis.

Users can use a VPN, everyone in the world always mutliaccounts. I wonder how Hypixel and Mineplex can handle that.

If a user multi-accounts way too much, the IP is than banned from the website.

Most scammers are stupid though, they come back and give everyone their skype they used for previously scamming... and some of them have emails which has their previous names in it... etc.

It could be more than the IP that could be checked, and an IP isn't the hardest thing to change.

I've seen a lot of the banned members come back and make an account with an OG name and make an intro as their first message like if this website is their home... Most new members dont come with an OG name, and dont make an intro as their first message.
