I'm wondering if any developer here is capable of making a bot that can detect a user typing in a @mentionable_role_name_here into a channel and instead of letting it go through immediately to ping everyone, it instead functions as if you were to do here1 or Adidas. by the Discord default.
It will prevent the ping from going through until the bot has asked the user "There are 343 users with this role. Do you want to continue notifying all of these users?" and then after a user says "yes" or reacts with a :white_check_mark: to the question in the DMs with the bot, it will then check if the user has the permissions to mention this role.
I'm thinking of adding in cooldowns to mentions for normal users who dont have administrator permissions, or maybe set amount/intervals that they can use them for throughout their stay on the discord server.
Service teams, please PRIVATE MESSAGE ME your discord invites so you dont clog up my thread with the discord. More than likely I'll be joining all the ones out there to quickly make tickets and see if this is possible and then lowest price/fastest delivery time.
