i've bought methods off people on those websites for around 20$ and made my money back easily

How would someone know that the method is worth it? It could just be "Click this button" etc. It could be something that can be found with a google search.
Methods were allowed in the past and were banned because there was too small a percentage of legitimately useful methods.

apart from spigot? No mcm forums interest me, as 90% of them are either as dead as the spigot building section or full of people banned from here.
But if there's that many forums that do this shit, it can stay the hell there. We don't need the extra scamming method.

I'm not talking about minecraft forums. This guy should go on[Censored]or HF if he wants to sell methods, because the staff there know how to handle deal disputes and most people don't even open deal disputes about methods in the first place. MCM is full of people with $15 in their paypal and non-premium users trying to make bank, then those would be the users that file scam reports for methods that they think is too hard or if the seller doesn't help them.
This would probably bring more trouble to MCM than help, because of all the poor people that are trying to make bank.

Hm, you just put a concept in words that I'd not really understood enough to put in words, thanks! That describes what I think was at least half my objection, but it was a 'feel', not a rational thing. Would've just kept repeating myself otherwise.

Just because it will increase the number of users coming to the site in the short term, it doesn't mean that we should add it. We don't allow illegal things to be sold on MC-Market, and lots of methods are black-hat so we're definitely not allowing those. Plagiarism is also a huge issue which can't be fixed and they're generally very, very easy to scam with.

For these reasons, denied, thanks for the suggestion.
