You can disable pvp and some survival survival servers have extremely friendly/nice communities and i think it's a pretty smart idea to help some kids learn.

Yeah I've actually seen it do some pretty good things with education. My Graphic Design teacher let me play it because of that very reason. She wouldn't let me play slither.io though. Icri

Microsoft Education was made before Microsoft took over minecraft.
When I played MinecraftEDU(shortened name), it was running 1.6 and yea, it was pretty much a fucked up version. Teachers creates a server and students join in a student login crap. The teacher gives you missions to do and you would have to complete it. But stupid thing, teachers login are easily hackable...

I remember looking in the past, there was a modpack called minecraftEDU, but this wasnt ran by mojang or microsoft.

Now this version of minecraft edu is ran by them, as it was posted all over their website and has their brand marks all over it.

Windows 7 Ultimate is what I use. 10/10 better than Windows 10 imo.
