They do in a sense, shows that a user is here a period of time and is mos likely trust worthy, though yes reputation is different, but both serve a purpose

I said in a sense, because the winner rating is still used to vouch plus ratings are givin based on if the like it or not like it etc, but no sense in arguing

Someone whith 2k ratings has obviously been around for a while and is more likely to not scam anyone. Thus making ratings useful when dealing with someone.

Personally I wouldn't trust anyone with < 300 rating

For example, I wouldn't deal with Skill because he has scammed in the past, yet he has a lot of ratings.

Maybe you have to be verified by Mick to be a middleman.

I think that ther should be a official 'Middleman' rank just like there are mods etc. These middlemen would be extremely trusted and given a official title and nominated by Mick, just like mods, scam report staff. This would mean that people can conduct deals safely knowing there is a middleman who will middleman for free and definitely not scam etc. This would be quite a cool feature
