Migrated vs UnMigrated

Can someone please explain the difference I have a very un clear under standing of it and would love for someone to tell me.

You can migrate unmigrated accounts to your own email. Meaning that after 3 years the email hasn't changed and they have no name changes since you couldn't change your name back then. Basically they're more secure because you're the only email after 3 years and after migrating.
