Are you serious? I live right near alphones arena (the most likely place it is going to be held) and I stream perfectly fine, in fact over 4G I get 9 megabyte p/s... and I also have NBN that clocks at about 11mbps and I also know Sydney Olympic park is also equip with a direct connection as various sports events are streamed globally...

I think it should be in Houston. I live here and I must say it meets the qualifications of a Minecon.

If Mojang follows tradition they will bring Minecon back to The United States. Houston would be an ideal location because it is the 3rd largest city within the country. It houses a massive convention center that has three levels. Not to mention Houston is a very urban area and has great internet speeds. It would be very easy to live stream it from this location to the entire world.

I wouldn't worry yourself about it. You have a long wait. It should be announced in February 2016.
