Minecon cape help

Well someone (a new member) PMed me saying he is selling an Unredeemed Minecon 2015 cape URL. I wanted to know if it's possible for him to dispute or something after I redeemed the cape. I want to see if there any ways for him to scam me after he has passed me the URL and I sent over the money.

The simple answer is no, he cant take it back after you redeemed it. Sort of like a gift card.

Just dont go first.
