Minecon cape questions

I don't know shit about Minecon capes, so can someone explain to me the following:

1. What year cape is worth the most and why? (List capes most expensive to least expensive)
2. Do people still sell cape codes and if so are they more expensive than cape accounts?

Cape codes are more expensive usually, since you can choose what account to put it on. For instance lets say I have an Og and a hypixel stats acc, why not add a minecon cape to increase the worth and make it a perfect account. I think 2011s are the most expensive when it comes to accs, seccond is 2016s. 2016 codes go for like 200-300 but mostly all are scams. Hope this helped you.

Older capes have more value. Generally 2011s and 2012s are the most expensive ranging from 175-230+, and 2013 and 2015s are around 130-160 and I've seen 2016s go as low as 100~ but can go a bit above that. (btw those are for cape accounts). Currently, 2016s are the only working codes as the others have been expired. The reason that older cape accounts generally cost more is because simply there are less of them. You can check the exact amounts of them on namemc in the capes section. While there are only 2901 2011 cape accounts, there are 6318 2016 cape accounts.

Not too sure why there was no 2017 cape and I highly doubt there will be a 2018 cape.

No 2017 cape as it was Minecon Earth. It was stream based. They didn't want to do it for that reason.
Usually value of capes go down in their age. So 2011 cape accounts are most expensive ect..

And it also happens to be that with each newer cape, there are more of them

Oh and cape CODES, the same applies. Value decreases as age goes down. However, codes are scarce, and the value in some cases is far more extreme than a cape account for the same cape. I believe the asking price for a 2016 code as of now is around $350, however I could be wrong. This, in comparison to a 2016 cape account, is a very big difference.
