Hello MC-Market.

So, most of the people who are looking to buy an Minecon cape account, are mostly likely looking for which year the cape is. And since people don't feel sometimes to scroll down, to click every thread down of which year the cape is, we need to put the year in the title when selling a cape account.

This is what I had in mind how it should looks like in the title:

Example: I want to sell my 2012 cape account. it should looks like this:
'' 2012 Cape Account ''Example'' ''
Extra example: I want to sell my double 2013, 2015 cape account, it should look like this:
'' 2013, 2015 Cape Account ''Example'' ''
This goes on for triple cape accounts, etc etc.

You may ask yourself now, how can we get this successfully working? I had in mind whenever you choose of which year the cape is by creating the sell thread, it will automatically show up in the title once you posted your sell thread about it. With this, people can see which year the cape account is of their choice which cape they like to find and do no longer need to click every thread and scroll down to find their cape that they want to find.

I planned to make this for ages and felt today it was now time to make this.
Thank you for your time.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

This thread has been up for around 40% of the amount of time this forum has existed

It has 258 agree ratings, should be super easy to implement, most likely costs nothing and would be useful to many users.

And I thought waiting 6 months for the image proxy was bad.

It doesn't cost nothing to implement. This change requires custom development and has not yet been done because it is not a high enough priority and we've always had other projects to develop first.

This addon is next in queue for development, so it should be implemented within the next few weeks. Thanks for your patience with getting this done :)

Honestly at this point everyone is so used to this. MCM clearly isn’t a priority, it’s just a passive source of income with minimal management required. No wonder there are huge backlogs for support, reports and all that. There’s little motivation when the site is treated the way it is.

This is just like the image proxy: “within 24 hours, it should be up!”... half a year passes: here it is!!

And this is super super easy to do as well. Literally all it does is take your input based on selection and puts it in the generated thread title. This is already done with usernames, so cape years aren’t any different. Calling this minor tweak “custom development” is like me copying someone’s code, editing a few lines and being like “okay, I’m a coder now!”

It’s so irresponsible and unprofessional to make all these promises and not only fail to deliver 90% of the time, but also to not even bother following up with updates! It’s a clear sign that no shits are given.

Bruh your competition (the one with Trades in the name) already has it even if they make waaaay less money

Exactly! It’s being made out to be this complicated coding project that will cost money, but the form already takes input usernames and puts them in the thread title, therefore it’s not hard to do the same with input cape years.

And honestly, the lack of keeping promises with 0 updates really frustrates me. I can’t imaging owning a forum or business that generates revenue and just not giving a shit about the consumers/users. People like that are going to have a rough awakening in the real world and nobody is going to want to do business with them.

Since my update on October 4th was made, our plans regarding this have changed and we are no longer going to be custom developing an addon to do this. Instead, we will be implementing a proper filtering system which is going to be much more complex and reduce friction with finding content you want throughout the entire forum, not just in the cape account sale forum. Behind the scenes plenty of work is constantly being done on the site such as finding more developers and starting projects which may not ever be released.

Our filtering system is almost completed and will require testing before we release it.

A huge amount of time, money, and love is put into MC-Market every day by us as a staff team to make it the best platform it can be for our users. I should have made an update post on this announcement sooner regarding our plans, but my lack of an update is not the same as no work being done.
