This is merely an idea, however I think there should be--

an option on each accounts thread where the seller is able to list who they sold the account to
.

This would help people in search of specific accounts be able to trace an account they wanted before, but are no longer able to find anywhere. I believe the account association should also be removed from the previous owner when it is sold, and associated with the person who purchased the account.

Well I do like this, however you can just look at the last people who posted on the thread. But, some people put bought by @whoever but oh well
This would just help people see who it was sold to. With auctions, people often bid in PMs or back out of bids, and the person viewing the thread would not know any of these things

I don't think it is all that necessary, to be honest. It's up to the buyer and the seller to both be aware of the state of the account and the previous owners. Adding in another field to the account sales form doesn't seem like it'd be useful in determining it as there's no way for us to verify it anyways.
