Hi everyone! :)
I'm a Youtube / Animation / Filmmaking enthousiast!
Since one of the hardest questions I ever had is "How much do I have to pay?"
I'd like some extra tnformation from you guys.

Everything started 2 years ago, I currently have around 21.000 subscribers and almost 5.000.000 video views.
I get 500USD on average per minute animation I create , but I'd like to work out a professional way to ask a price.
Since I have to keep my channel active , I'd like to keep the prices high enough in order to get requests from decent / bigger channels.

I've worked for MrWilliamo , TeamTwiistz and Typhoon Cinema already!

Since animating is not a thing I see as a hobby anymore (although I still enjoy it) but more as a job , I'd like to know how much you guys would like to give for my work (if you have the right channel and budget for it)

Any tips in case of payments or animation improvements?
I'd like to know your point of view! :D

Have a great day!

Thanks for the great reactions guys!
I'm really excited about the fact that you guys like my work
and the fact that I'm serious about it.

Does anyone know a good formal price for projects?

How would you work?
- Hourly wages
- A certain value per minute animation
- Or another method

I'd really like to hear your point of view on this guys.

I hope your day will be a sunny one , enjoy !t!

My suggestion:

Before you start taking in moderate / high amount of cash, make sure you give a couple of free 'Vouch' copies - many people (including myself) on forums like this first look for the vouches of a service provider before going into business with them. Seeing as you only have three messages (which is fine but indicates you are still very new to the forums) you will get fewer customers than you would if you had vouches.

Basically, begin your business by giving a couple of free cinematic's in exchange for some vouches, once you feel you have some vouches that would start you off begin selling your services with a lower amount of money than you would usually find, this itself will help you gain a few more customers and some vouches, then slowly increase the price of your service to a reasonable extent.

Thanks for the advice!
Actually I just joined the forum in order to know more about pricing.
I have some big customers who have a huge youtube channel.

So actually , the customers already exist and I have enough of them to keep both (my channel and their channel) active.
That's why I'd like to find out how I would manage my pricing with these people.
I have been working on a parody for about 6 months previous year and they paid more for a 2 minute animation past month. (which took me a third of the time I worked on the parody)

Most of all times I just ask to give me a price theirselves because I'm not able to give them a certain value.
I'd like to make 500USD a standard (per minute animation)
Although I should go a little bit more in depth and construct a certain plan so they actually pay for the content instead of the time.
Imagine that they pay per set / per character / per dialogue , this way I'm always able to calculate the price.

Since my amount of subscribers is very good at the moment I don't want to lose a few thousand people again.
That's why I'd like them to pay a decent price so I can directly start working on it.
I don't work for free anymore since it's better to work for my own channel with the same content.

After this explanation you might think that I'm doing this for the money but that's not true.
If I spend my time in another channel I want to get my time paid in order to get better gear in the future.

I'll take my time soon to figure out a certain price list , thanks for the advice and great reactions everyone!

I think that 500 for a minute is only good if the animation is fast pace and very detailed. If that is the case then I would maybe be interested :)

Good price. I know some people who charge 3000 per minute.
