Minecraft at 40 fps with gtx 1050

Recently got into minecraft but when I playpen hypixel I'm getting around 40 fps but it keeps on dropping. I remember playing at 120 fps but now it's at 40 if anyone can help me please comment down below thanks.

try reinstalling/updating drivers

Get optifine, allocate more ram, set an fps cap of 120, turn off anything like shaders, disable capes
