Minecraft Discord?

I want to start a community-run Minecraft Discord server. A place for Minecrafters to not only discuss Minecraft but also promote their servers, products, and services. It would be a great place for events and an official server of its own. Helping small or big content creators grow could be another feature of it.

What do you think? Is the official Minecraft Discord too big already? Are there too many Minecraft discords out there already? Am I missing something? Would you join?

So like the Minecraft subreddit? Its a good idea but not a unheard one, people that would use your server or like the idea are probably already in some sort of community like that so it'd be hard to make them switch or join yours as well. Adding some unique features like custom bots or never before heard of events would probably get you quite a few members tho

I have personally seen plenty of similar discord, but I certainly agree - it’s a decent idea. However, you’d probably need a few specialists to help out people starting out, instead of relying on the community to do all the helping to start off with. If you do decide to pursue with the project, I wish you the best of luck.

I think all of these side projects are great fun and all but often a lot harder than you think, also often requiring a large budget to monazite it in someway, of course if the goal was never to make money off it and just slowly build it up you have nothing to loose.

It's a great idea on paper, it's just really hard to pull off, I wish you the best of luck if you decide to go throygh with it because it's aweful hard as the market for these types of servers is huge and competitive.
